Turning Weakness into Strength

Reach out and read with me Genesis chapter 48 as we learn about who God is. In this chapter the Israelite’s are settled in Egypt. Jacob is getting on in his years and wants to bless Joseph’s children. We see again how God blesses the youngest over the oldest, the weakest over the more powerful. Just as God used the youngest, least liked by his brothers to save the whole family and more. Ephraim the youngest is set higher than his older brother Manasseh.

26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy[a] when God called you. 27 Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. 28 God chose things despised by the world,[b] things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.

1 Corinthians 1:26-28 New Living Translation (NLT)

Turning Weakness into Strength

If you feel beat up by the world take the verse above and put it somewhere prominent. Where you can read it repeatedly so God can minister to your heart. The promises of God are for you, do not let anyone on earth tell you otherwise. If you do not know His promises then reach out and read with me every Wednesday. He is revealing to you how He can bless you. God is faithful in making your dreams fulfilled. Just live you life get active in serving Him. He will fill you with an unspeakable joy as the world does not understand.

Something else you could be doing is to reach out and read the Bible every day. Really study and get to know God, praying the whole time. He will start to shape your life choices to be ones that reveals Him through you. He will open doors that you did not even know were there. I am not saying that we will gain blessings as the world sees blessings to be. But, we will gain the promises of God which are greater than what the world promises. As we live for God we will have a peace that the world will wonder why? We may be the poorest of the poor, the most mistreated, neglected person in the world. But, live for God we will have contentment, joy, and peace. Our blessings are not of this world, but in our Heavenly Home with God. Let God shape you and draw His children to Him through you. You will find being used by God is such a blessing in itself.
