My testimony of how I became a writer and a life coach

My Testimony

Awhile back I had given you a little bit of my testimony. I thought that since I have new readers I’ll tell it again, but this time maybe explain how I got started as a writer and life coach.

I was born with Cerebral Palsy. Doctors told my parents they needed to be teaching me sign language, and that there was a chance that I wouldn’t be able to do anything. Even though my parents taught me how to sign at a young age, they put me in speech therapy. Which overtime I did great in. So they stopped the signing. Then by age 7, my mother passed away from cancer. My dad was now a single with 3 little girls. By this time, I had built up enough strength in my right arm to draw and write. My first book was titled “The street boy is a loser.”

Not too long after that, I needed surgery on my hip. So I went to a family members house in another state to live. For the first few years, things went well, then slowly but surely it turned into emotional abuse in my teens and twenties. I couldn’t state my mind or do what I wanted to do. My family member I was living with at the time claimed I couldn’t do anything or think clearly. Which was far from the truth. But by this time he brainwashed me and I was living in a state of dark depression. Every time I would try to make a friend, they would leave. Which now that I think about it now, who could blame them?

Throughout my years of living with this family member, I would write stories, either in my notebook or my computer. They were usually around four pages long. They were mainly about grown-ups leaving or being mean to their kids.  Some of them I would share with my grandmother, and others I kept to myself. Some she liked, while others she made fun of, so I started keeping them all to myself.

my testimony

By my early twenties, I’ve had enough and moved back in with my dad because I need someone to take care of me physically. Which worked out very well. In 2015 I published my first devotion on Amazon “Message of Hope 365 Days.”

Not long after moving in with my dad, my desire was to start helping people, that is after some time in therapy. I wanted to work as a crisis counselor over the phone. However, the training times were a little issue. However, I found a way to be able to volunteer online with “Crisis text line” in 2015. I had been through so much that I wanted to give back and help others. Once I got comfortable in my volunteer role, I wanted to be a real counselor myself. But there was too much that was going to be involved with that, so one of my mentors suggested becoming a Life Coach, which is so much cheaper and easier! So that’s what I ended up doing!

I truly believe that if it weren’t for my past, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I wouldn’t be a writer, I wouldn’t be able to help people. Looking back now, I praise God for putting me in that situation, and of course, bringing me out! But you know what?  The story I mentioned earlier that I’d written when I was small? I believe God was already preparing me for the writing process. I just didn’t realize it then of course!

Believe me that when I say I’m here for you all, I truly am! I hate to see people living with anxiety, depression and so much more when there is freedom in Christ. I can help you figure a way out, I can help build up your confidence and so much more. But you need to be the one to take that first and bravest step ever? That is asking for help! Isn’t it about time? I poured myself out to you, why can’t you do the same with me? Hey, I’m in a wheelchair, I’ve lived just about all the trash out there, and I never judge others, because I’ve been judged myself and I know how that feels. Not fun is it?

Please give me the honor of helping you with your life’s situation. If you’re thinking, hey I have nothing to pay you, I’m broke! Well, guess what I was too. We will work something out, do not panic! All we need to focus on right now is getting you back into the person where God has created you to be, sound good?

Alright then!
