Thankful God Uses Broken People Like Us

God Uses Broken People

If you read Katiedash’s post of yesterday, which you can see here if you missed it, one of the things she said is something I want to expand on.

God Uses Broken People

She said it is amazing how The Lord uses us, even after we sin.  Look at all the people who sinned in the Bible!  Yet Jesus still used them.  Of course, the bible reading in her post was about Jacob, Rachel, and Leah.  Now one thing about the bible is it doesn’t mince words.  The bible will tell it like it is, and man, did it really reveal some sins that they committed!  But look how they were used!  I have to feel for Leah.  Sometimes, I feel unloved myself.  It used to be, when I was a child, that I thought Leah was the “evil” one, and Rachel was the “good” one.  That might be how Jacob looked at it.  but they were both human; they both had good and bad points.  I can really relate to Leah.  Maybe she shouldn’t have gone along with tricking Jacob, but her child was in the line of Jesus, not to mention the ones mentioned in Matthew 1—Rahab, Tamar, Ruth, and Bathsheba!

God Uses Broken People, too.

I feel that God has used me on this site.  I need to post more on my blog, and I really feel I can minister, yet it’s all God.  I am so grateful He uses me!

I don’t want to embarrass her, but I so love Katie as a friend and admire how far she’s come.  If you read her last 2 posts about her testimony, it is an inspiration!  Just her sharing is a way God is using her.  What a testimony!

All of us have one.

Maybe you have one.  Maybe you could share yours in the comments.  I assure you, even if you think it isn’t really worth much, boring, someone will relate to it.  Trust me.  I have found this time after time.

Be thankful for what you’ve gone through, because God can use you because of it.  And be thankful for God’s mercy, that He chooses to use us for His purpose, to spread His love to others.  What can you share that you have learned from the experiences God has allowed you to go through?

God Uses Broken People

And keep reading Katie’s story, because I guarantee you, it will bless you.  It is so hard for her to share it, but she is following God, and I, for one, want to honor that, because I am positive God will use it in more ways than any of us can imagine right now!

  1. Thank you Nicki and Pastor John for your contribution to what God put on our hearts. Plus the encouragement you give me all the time to keep going. God is doing a mighty work through all this!

  2. Thank you for your writing and your testimony. I have one which I plan to post later when I have more time to think and write. In the meantime, suffice it say that I am nowhere near where I used to be in shyness, confidence, or ability. God is at work in all of us, and yes, all of us have a testimony

Would love to hear your thoughts!
